Education & Training

Mental Health Training

I am proud to be an anti-racism plenary presenter and a mental health first aid England instructor who delivers youth MHFA courses internationally. I’ve been a mental health campaigner for the last ten years working with adults, young people and children. I’m particularly interested in campaigning to empower physical and mental health using creative therapeutic approaches. Although mental ill health is prevalent, inequalities experienced in underserved communities, including Black and Brown communities, continue to increase, so it is important that the tools to support wellbeing are accessible.

Mental Health First Aid is an educational course that teaches people how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue. In the same way, as we learn physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill-health.

You can follow the main MHFA England account here: www.facebook.com/MHFAEngland.
